Did you know that approximately 80% of Americans would like to have whiter teeth? Teeth whitening is one of the most requested dental procedures, and it’s no wonder! A beautiful, bright smile can make a big difference in the way you feel about yourself and how others perceive you. If your teeth are stained or discolored, there are a number of ways to get them looking brighter again. While some methods are more effective than others, it’s important to find one that fits your needs, lifestyle, and budget, and that's exactly what we do at Feeding Hills Dental Care!
There are a few reasons KoR Whitening stands above other treatments, including:
Continuously refrigerated high-potency gels. The active ingredient in whitening gels needs to stay cold in order to maintain its peak effectiveness. KoR manufactures and cold-ships its gels.
KoR-Seal trays. KoR manufactures a special type of tray that the patient wears at home. In addition to being very comfortable, this tray eliminates salivary contamination of the whitening gel which allows the gel to be active for 6-10 hours. Other systems gels are often only active for 30-40 minutes.
Kor desensitizer. A common problem with any whitening system is sensitive teeth. Kor uses a desensitizing liquid that is applied to the teeth prior to bleaching. This desensitizer is very effective at eliminating or greatly reducing any sensitivity associated with whitening therapy.

Common causes of discoloration include aging, smoking, certain foods and beverages (like coffee, tea, and red wine), poor oral hygiene, and some medications.
Some people may experience temporary sensitivity during or after whitening, especially if they already have sensitive teeth. Professional treatments often include desensitizing agents to minimize discomfort.
The timeline varies, but most patients start seeing results after a few weeks of consistent use. The system combines at-home and in-office treatments for optimal results.
With proper care and occasional maintenance, KoR Whitening results can last for years. Regular oral hygiene and avoiding staining foods and drinks help extend the results.
Temporary tooth sensitivity and minor gum irritation are the most common side effects. These effects usually resolve within a few days.
Teeth whitening is suitable for most people, but not everyone is a candidate. Patients with severe tooth sensitivity, gum disease, or extensive dental work (such as crowns or veneers) may need alternative solutions.
