Electrons To The Rescue

We often get the question "what is the best toothbrush?" You can do a decent job with a traditional toothbrush, but stick to the brand names like Oral B, Crest and Colgate. The bargain bin ones tend to have scratchy bristles that can lead to gum recession. And stick to soft bristles.

But the patients who have the least plaque and tartar on their teeth use electric toothbrushes, like the Sonicare, which can oscillate 20,000 times per second, a high frequency that creates a cavitational force that blasts plaque off the teeth without even touching the tooth. Try doing that by hand!
